Kiss Stranger on a Night Train: A Dream of Meaning & Interpretation

"Last night, I had a dream about kissing a stranger. In my dream, I sat on a night train. The lights were soft and yellow. Rain ran down the windows. There were only two people in my car. Me, and a man I never saw before. He sat across from me. He had dark hair and kind eyes. He smiled, and somehow, I felt like I knew him for years. The train went into a tunnel. Everything became dark. I could only hear the sound of the wheels. Then I felt his hand touch mine. Warm. Gentle. When we came out of the tunnel, his face was close to mine. So close I could see the green in his eyes. "Do you mind?" he whispered. I did not answer. I just closed my eyes. His lips touched mine. It was soft and sweet, like the first snow of winter. My whole body felt light, like I was floating above the seat. Somewhere in my head, a voice said, "He is a stranger. This is wrong." But I did not care. The kiss felt right. It felt like coming home. When we stopped, we looked at each other and laughed. No words were needed. Then the train stopped at a station. He stood up, held my hand for one second, and walked away. I watched him go through the fog on the platform. He turned back once. He waved. Then he was gone. I woke up with a smile on my face. My pillow was soft under my cheek. I do not know who he was. But all morning, I felt happy for no reason at all."
