"I stood in front of a cracked bathroom mirror, staring at a sudden, sharp pain in the palm of my hand. A deep cut opened up, and thick, crimson blood began to spill over my fingers, dripping steadily into the porcelain sink below. Instead of feeling hurt or afraid, a hot, burning fury suddenly flared up inside my chest. I slammed my fist onto the counter, furious at the sight of my own blood and the senseless pain. The bright red liquid splashed across the white sink, but no matter how hard I scrubbed at it, the dark stains refused to wash away. Every drop seemed to feed a rising rage that I couldn't control or explain. I glared at my reflection, my jaw clenched and my hands shaking with raw frustration. I grabbed the edges of the sink and shouted into the empty room, completely overwhelmed by an intense anger that burned hotter than the sting in my hand."
