Anger in old Apartment: Fire, landlord, and blank Buttons

"I was in my old apartment trying to find a green plastic bowl to put some leftover rice in, but the kitchen cabinets were all full of empty egg cartons instead. I looked over at the living room window and the blinds were glowing this really intense, harsh orange color, and there was a soft cracking noise coming from the hallway wall. I went out into the corridor and the wallpaper near the thermostat was peeling back, with tiny yellow flames licking at the edges of the drywall. I wasn't scared that the building was burning, I was just furious because I'd specifically asked the landlord three times to fix the wiring in that wall last week and he'd ignored my texts. I kept smacking at the wall with a folded-up mail catalog to try and put it out, but the paper catalog just caught fire too, which made me even madder. Then I was suddenly standing in the middle of a brightly lit laundromat wearing a heavy winter coat, holding a pair of damp oven mitts. There was no fire anywhere, just rows of washing machines tumbling in silence, but I was still so irritated at the landlord that my face felt hot. I walked up to a vending machine to get a bottle of water, but all the buttons were blank silver caps that didn't press down. Woke up with my teeth clenched, still annoyed about the wall before realizing I didn't even live in that apartment anymore."
