Mismatched house and hidden Staircase Dream

"so this was my house, or i guess it was supposed to be my house, it had my furniture and my stuff scattered around but the layout was completely wrong, hallways going places they don't actually go. i was looking for something, maybe my keys, and i opened a door that's normally a closet and it was a whole staircase instead, going up to a floor i know for a fact doesn't exist in real life i climbed up anyway, didn't even question it that much, just this vague curiosity pulling me along. the upstairs was dusty, furniture covered in sheets like nobody had used it in years, except somehow it still felt like mine, like i just forgot it was there. i remember running my hand along a dresser and thinking i should clean this sometime, so mundane for a dream then i heard someone downstairs, footsteps, and i wasn't scared exactly, more just annoyed, like i was gonna have to explain the extra floor to whoever it was. i went to look and the staircase was gone, just wall, and that's when the confusion tipped into something more uneasy. i kept pressing on the wall like it would open again if i found the right spot the scene shifted and i was in the kitchen instead, except the kitchen had windows looking out onto a street that isn't my street, some neighborhood i don't recognize, kids playing outside that i somehow knew weren't real kids, if that makes any sense. i just watched them for a while through the glass woke up and for a second was genuinely trying to remember which version of my house was the real one, the floor plan felt scrambled in my head for a good few minutes after"
