Loose teeth and the porcelain Sink

"I was sitting on the edge of a porcelain sink in my old elementary school bathroom trying to wash a red marker stain off my thumb, but when I ran my tongue along the top of my mouth, my teeth felt tiny and loose like plastic pegs. I reached up and barely wiggled one, and three of them just popped right out into my palm at once with no pain, just this weird wet crunching sound. I kept spitting more of them into my hand—they looked tiny, like small white corn kernels—and i kept trying to push them back into my gums before anyone came in, but my gums were soft like warm dough and the teeth wouldn't stick. I wasn't even bleeding, just super bewildered staring at this handful of tiny teeth and trying to remember if i was supposed to save them for someone. then all of a sudden I was standing in line at an outdoor ice cream stand holding a plastic spoon, still pressing my tongue against the roof of my mouth to make sure everything was still intact."
