"I was in a church but I don't go to church. That's the first thing I noticed. The ceiling was so high it kind of faded out, like it didn't bother finishing. Nobody was there. Just me and all those pews. I sat down somewhere in the middle. There were hymnals but when I opened one it was just sheet music with no words. I hummed anyway. Then my grandmother was next to me. She's been gone a long time. She didn't say anything. She just held my hand and it was warm and dry like I remembered. The candles up front kept relighting themselves. I watched one go out and then flicker back. Over and over. I wasn't scared. I got up to leave but the doors were at the front now, behind the altar. I walked toward them and my footsteps made no sound at all. My grandmother stayed in the pew. I didn't say goodbye. I just knew she'd be there if I came back. I woke up before I reached the doors. I wasn't upset about it. Just lay there in the dark feeling like someone had been holding my hand."

Core Theme

"This dream reflects a quiet encounter with the sacred in a place you never expected to find it. The empty church, the wordless hymns, and your grandmother's silent hand-holding suggest that peace does not require belief, ritual, or explanation—only presence. The self-relighting candles and the soundless walk toward doors behind the altar point to a gentle initiation: you are moving forward without fear, carrying warmth that does not need to be earned or said aloud."
