"I was in the yard behind a house that felt like my cousin's, bending down to pick up a garden hose, and the hose moved. Then it was a snake, olive green, and when I stepped back I noticed a second one by the fence, thicker, darker, just lying there like it had been waiting. I didn't scream. just kept very still. I counted them out loud for some reason, one, two, and then a third slid out from under the porch steps, pale and quick, and I remember being weirdly upset about the number, like three was worse than two. none of them rushed me. They just kept shifting position, closing the space slowly. I tried to go inside and the back door was heavier than it should be, handle slick. my legs wouldn't move right. Someone was calling me from the kitchen, my cousin maybe, but I couldn't answer. Then I was in the kitchen and the floor had a long shadow moving across it. Woke up with my feet pulled up under the blanket, not wanting to put them down."

Spiritual Analysis
Core Theme

"This dream reflects a confrontation with creeping, inevitable change that you cannot outrun or control. The snakes do not attack but steadily close in, mirroring a situation in waking life that is slowly tightening its grip while you remain frozen between fight and flight. The heavy door and unresponsive legs suggest a deep sense of powerlessness, and the final shadow in the kitchen indicates that what you fear has already entered your inner sanctum."

Hidden Emotions and Symbols

✦ Snakes

Represent hidden fears, transformation, or threats that are quietly advancing and demanding your attention.

✦ Garden Hose

Reflects the deceptive nature of ordinary things that can suddenly become sources of danger or awakening.

✦ Back Door

Indicates a threshold between safety and vulnerability, and the difficulty of retreating from what you must face.

✦ Heavy Legs

Guidance

Stillness is not the same as safety. When you cannot run, you must learn to read the slow approach of what threatens you and decide whether to stand, speak, or change the locks. The number three suggests a pattern or completion that you sense but resist; naming it aloud is the first step toward reclaiming your ground.
