"I was sitting on the floor of a sunlit living room I’ve never seen before, trying to pack a suitcase for a trip I didn't plan. On a blanket next to me were two tiny babies sleeping side by side, dressed in identical yellow onesies. I knew deep down they were mine, even though I don't have children, and I felt this frantic need to keep them warm. I picked up one of them to hold it, but when I looked back down at the blanket, the second baby had somehow turned into a soft wool sweater that was unravelling. I started searching around under the couch for the other baby, my heart hammering, but then suddenly I was standing inside an empty grocery store holding two heavy paper sacks. When I looked inside the bags, the two infants were both sound asleep on top of loaves of bread, breathing softly in sync. I stood there in the middle of the quiet aisle with this disorienting, swirling haze in my mind, unable to figure out how I was supposed to get us all back home."

Spiritual Analysis
Core Theme

"This dream reflects a moment of disorientation in which your instinct to nurture and protect something fragile collides with a sense of unpreparedness and shifting reality. The calm sleep of the infants amid your frantic searching suggests that what you are trying to care for may already be safe, and that your confusion is the real burden, not the vulnerability itself."

Hidden Emotions and Symbols

✦ Babies

Guidance

When the ground shifts beneath you, remember that what you love may be more resilient than your panic suggests. Instead of searching frantically for what seems lost, pause and look at what is already resting safely in your hands. The way home is not found by grasping harder, but by trusting that the fragile things can sleep even in the middle of an empty aisle.
