"I ran a bath, and the water was clear and clean, steam rising softly from the tub. I turned away to do something else, only for a moment, and then I came back. Two giant cockroaches were sitting in the bathtub, glossy and brown, far bigger than any I had ever seen. I stood frozen, staring at them, unable to look away. As I watched, they began to change. Their bodies split and multiplied until they turned into a swarm of smaller cockroaches, scuttling over each other and filling the tub. When I woke up, my skin was crawling and my stomach felt uneasy. I took a deep breath and reminded myself there was nothing in the bath. The creepy feeling stayed with me for a little while, but it slowly faded as I settled back into the real world."

Jungian Analysis
Core Theme

"This dream reflects a sudden invasion of anxiety and disgust into a space you had prepared for cleansing and renewal. The transformation of two large roaches into a swarm suggests that a small, ignored fear can multiply rapidly in your mind, overwhelming your sense of control. The lingering physical unease upon waking indicates that the emotional residue of such fears can persist even after the dream ends, but it also fades, reminding you that these invasions are temporary."

Wisdom

When fear invades your sanctuary, remember that it often appears larger than it is and multiplies only when you freeze. Acknowledge the creepy feeling, but do not let it define your reality; cleanse the space again, and trust that the swarm will fade as you return to the present.
