Empty School Hallways & the Frozen Scream Meaning & Interpretation

"I was in my school. The hallways were empty. All the lights were off. It was very dark. I heard a child crying. I followed the sound. It came from my classroom. I opened the door. Everyone was there. My friends. My teacher. They all sat still. Their eyes were open. They did not blink. I said hello. No one answered. I touched my friend's hand. It was cold and hard. She turned her head slowly. Her mouth opened wide. She screamed. But no sound came out. I tried to run. My legs would not move. They all stood up. They walked toward me. Very slowly. I woke up shaking. I could still see their empty eyes. I stayed awake until sunrise."
