"So I'm at this wedding. Full ceremony, flowers, the whole thing. And I'm naked. Standing in the back row. Just me and a bunch of strangers in nice clothes. And I'm not covering up. I'm not hiding. I'm just standing there with my hands at my sides like it's the most normal Tuesday of my life.
The bride walked past me during the procession and handed me a soda. A cold one. Like she'd been holding it for me. And I said thanks and cracked it open and took a sip and watched her keep walking. Nobody turned around. Nobody gasped. Just a wedding and me and my soda and no pants.
I found my seat eventually. In the back. And I sat down and crossed my legs and watched the vows. Cried a little, which is normal for me at weddings, even naked ones apparently. And this old woman next to me patted my knee and said "isn't it lovely" and I said "it is" and we both watched the couple kiss. My knee was bare. Her hand was on it. Nobody cared.
Reception started. I'm at a table eating cake. Still naked. And the DJ is playing the usual stuff and people are dancing and I'm just eating cake with a little plastic fork. Somebody's kid ran up to me and asked if I wanted to dance and I said sure and we danced. And I was aware, the whole time, that I was naked, but it just didn't matter. Like my brain had filed it under "not important."
I woke up and I was in bed and I was wearing pajamas. Obviously. But I lay there for a while feeling like I was supposed to be somewhere. Like I'd left a wedding early. I got up and made coffee and stood in the kitchen and for a second I genuinely missed that soda. Weird thing to miss. It wasn't even a real soda. But I could still taste it. Cold and sweet and completely normal."
Core Theme
"Dreaming of being naked at a wedding without shame suggests a deep shift toward accepting your vulnerability and authentic self. The wedding union and commitment, while your calm nudity indicates that defense mechanisms are relaxing enough for repressed desires to surface safely. The bride's soda and the strangers' indifference reflect a childhood longing for unconditional care and permission to simply exist."
