Dream of losing Teeth before a wedding

"I was standing at the bus stop in front of my middle school, waiting for a bus that was supposed to take me to a wedding I forgot to dress up for. My mouth felt strangely full, like I was chewing on a mouthful of gravel, but I couldn't spit it out because there were people sitting on the bench next to me talking about a movie I'd never seen. I ran my tongue along the back of my top molars and felt this awful, soft looseness, like they were barely anchored in wet sand. I poked one gently with my thumb, and it just folded over without any pain at all. Then three of them came free at once. I cupped my hand under my chin and let them drop out--they didn't even look like teeth anymore, just smooth, chalky white pebbles that felt cold in my palm. Suddenly I was sitting on the edge of a bed in a hotel room with teal wallpaper, trying to line the teeth up in a neat little row on the nightstand so I could prove to someone that they were mine. My mouth felt hollow and sinkhole-empty, and this heavy, dull ache crept into my chest, not because it hurt, but because I knew I couldn't put them back in no matter how carefully I pushed. Someone knocked on the bathroom door asking if I was almost done packing, and I tried to answer, but I was so ashamed of the gap in my smile that I just covered my mouth with both hands and sat there crying softly in the dark."
