Fishing too-Clear waters: The huge Calm fish and silent Horizon

"so I was fishing off a dock that I don't think is a real place, wood all gray and soft looking, and I wasn't with anyone but it didn't feel lonely, just quiet in that good way. the water was way too clear, like I could see straight down forever, and I wasn't even using a real rod I think, just line wrapped around my hand. caught something almost immediately, barely had to wait, and it was huge, way too big for the amount of effort it took, and I remember feeling proud but also like it was cheating somehow. pulled it up and it wasn't flopping around like fish do, just calm, looking at me, and I had this thought that I should throw it back but instead I just kept it in my arms like a dog for a while. the dock became a boat at some point, didn't notice the change happening, just suddenly rocking. my grandpa was maybe in the boat too, or maybe it was just his voice, telling me something about bait that I can't remember now no matter how hard I try. caught two more after that, smaller ones, barely registered them, my attention was somewhere else the whole time, on the horizon I think, waiting for something to show up there. nothing ever did. woke up with my hand kind of curled like it was still holding the line."
