Floating on glass Water to escape an unfinished Message

"i was standing on this rocky ledge, except i somehow knew i was supposed to be delivering a letter to my high school history teacher. but there was no road, just this massive expanse of water stretching out forever. it was completely still, almost like a sheet of pure glass, and so clear that i could see every single pebble and tiny glowing shell on the bottom even though it looked miles deep. i didn't even think about the letter anymore. i just stepped off the ledge, but instead of sinking, i was floating right on top of it. the water was warm, like a bath, and whenever i moved my hand, little ripples would spread out and make these faint, soft ringing sounds. all the noise in my head just completely stopped. i just lay there on my back looking up at this pale purple sky, completely weightless, feeling like nothing bad had ever happened or could ever happen. i didn't even care where the water ended or how long i'd been floating, i just wanted to stay right there."
