The burning House and the Self Left behind

"I was trapped inside a house that looked familiar, but I couldn't place it. Smoke was already filling the hallway, and there were flames coming from the kitchen. I knew I needed to leave, but I kept stopping to look for things. First it was my phone. Then my shoes. I found one shoe under the couch and spent way too long searching for the other while the curtains started burning. I remember being frustrated with myself more than anything. I tried the front door, but the handle was too hot. The back door opened into another room instead of outside. In that room, my family was sitting around the table eating dinner like nothing was happening. I shouted at them to get up, but nobody looked at me. The smoke got thicker, and I crawled toward a window. It was painted shut. I hit it with a chair, but the glass only bent like plastic. Then suddenly I was outside, standing across the street. The house was still burning, and I could see myself moving around behind one of the windows. I started running toward it, yelling that I was still inside. Someone grabbed my arm and told me not to go back. I woke up before I could see who it was."
