The glass Shell by the black Lake

"i was wandering around this overgrown backyard looking for a misplaced set of keys, but then i found myself standing at the edge of this completely motionless black lake in the middle of a forest. my skin felt strangely heavy and tight, almost like i was wearing a wet woolen coat that had dried solid over my shoulders, making it hard to take a full breath. i knew i needed to lie down before the sun went down, even though there wasn't really a sky above us, just this warm gray haze. i lay down on the damp moss and closed my eyes, and instantly this smooth, clear shell started forming around my chest and arms, like glass cooled down from warm liquid. it didn't hurt or scare me at all; it just felt like taking off heavy winter boots after walking in the mud all day. then suddenly i was floating above the trees looking down at the lake, but I didn't have a body anymore—just this incredible sense of weightlessness, like all the old stress and tiredness had been left behind inside that empty glass shell on the ground. i just hovered there in the quiet air, feeling this deep, total calm wash over me because i knew i didn't have to carry any of it with me anymore."
