Lava on the street and the path Beyond

"I was standing outside my house when I noticed something glowing red in the distance. At first I thought it was a sunset, but then I saw lava slowly moving down the street. I ran back inside and started grabbing random things. I don't even know why I was packing. My shoes, my phone, a jacket, then somehow I was holding a spoon. The lava kept getting closer. I could see it through the windows, glowing orange and making the whole room feel hot. I tried to call someone, but my phone showed a completely different date. Then suddenly I was standing on a hill overlooking the town. The streets below were covered in lava, but the houses were still there, untouched. It looked almost beautiful. I turned around and saw a little path behind me. I followed it without thinking, even though I had no idea where it went. When I looked back, the lava had disappeared. I woke up feeling strangely relieved, but I could still picture that red glow."
