"I dreamed I went into my bathroom and there were lobsters in the bathtub. Not cooked or anything—live ones, crawling around in shallow water like they belonged there. I don't know why I had them. I just remember thinking I needed to keep them wet. One of them climbed out and started walking across the tile toward my bedroom. I tried to pick it up but its claw snapped at my finger, and I dropped it. It didn't seem hurt. It just kept going, faster than I expected. Then I was in a grocery store holding a lobster in each hand, and everyone kept asking me if I was having a seafood night. I said yes even though I had no idea what that meant. At some point the lobsters were wearing tiny hats, and I woke up before I could figure out why that seemed important."

Core Theme

"This dream reflects a struggle with unexpected responsibilities that seem to have a life of their own. The lobsters represent instinctual drives or obligations that you are trying to contain, but they keep escaping and moving toward your private spaces. The grocery store scene suggests social pressure to appear in control, even when you are confused. The tiny hats add a layer of absurdity, hinting that the situation may be more about perspective than actual threat."

Insight

When life feels like it's crawling out of control, it may be a sign that you're trying to contain something that needs to be understood rather than managed. The confusion in the dream suggests that the real issue isn't the lobsters themselves, but your relationship to them. Perhaps you're being asked to look at what you're keeping in the dark and ask why it matters—even if the answer seems as silly as a tiny hat.
