Blood on the kitchen Floor and the silent Train platform

"I was walking into the kitchen of my old high school friend's house to grab a glass of tap water, but when I stepped past the fridge, my foot made this wet, sticky sound. I looked down and the white linoleum floor was covered in a wide, dark pool of blood spilling out from under the sink. It was super dark, almost black, and creeping toward my socks, but I couldn't figure out where it was coming from or who had left the faucet running. Suddenly I was standing in the middle of an empty train station platform at night. The concrete under my sneakers had those same dark crimson puddles reflecting the yellow overhead lights, stretching all the way down the platform like oil slicks. I felt this intense, stomach-dropping panic rise up in my throat because I knew a train was coming and I couldn't move my feet without stepping directly into it. I tried to shout for someone to help me clean it up, but my voice was completely gone, like speaking through thick velvet."
