"I was eating, bread or something like it, nothing hard at all, and I felt a small snap in my mouth, like a twig breaking. Tongue went straight to it and one of my back teeth had split, a jagged edge where there shouldn't be one, and I just kind of stood there holding still. It didn't hurt, which was weird. kept pressing my tongue against the sharp part, couldn't leave it alone, and a piece came loose and I spat it into my palm, bigger than it should've been, almost the size of a coin. I tried to show someone, maybe my mom, and she was busy with something else and never turned around. I went looking for a mirror and the hallway kept stretching, every bathroom door opening onto the same hallway again. My words came out slushy when I tried to say anything, like talking around a mouthful of pebbles. I never found the mirror. Woke up with my jaw clenched, tongue checking that tooth before I even opened my eyes."

Core Theme

"This dream reflects a moment of silent rupture in which a small, painless break becomes an obsession, revealing a fear that something essential has come loose inside you. The endless hallway and the absent mirror suggest you are searching for a way to see yourself clearly, but every path leads back to the same unresolved feeling, and no one turns around to witness it with you."

Insight

A break that doesn't hurt can still demand all your attention. The dream shows you caught in the gap between damage and pain, where the mind keeps circling what the body already knows. The missing mirror and the mother who never turns suggest that the real search is not for a witness, but for a way to face yourself without flinching. What feels broken may simply be asking to be seen, not fixed.
