"I was at a subway station trying to get three dogs through the turnstile. A golden retriever, a super skinny greyhound, and a corgi. Didn't even know where we were going, just felt this heavy urgency to get them on the downtown train. The greyhound kept slipping under the bars but the corgi was too short to reach the ticket slot. I was digging through my pockets for exact change but kept pulling out wet socks. The golden retriever just sat down and started licking a gum wrapper. I wasn't even mad, just super stressed about the people lining up behind me sighing. Then abruptly I'm sitting on the roof of my parked car in a Walmart lot. The three dogs are just sleeping in the backseat. I'm eating a cold french fry and watching them breathe. Woke up and my actual dog was snoring at the foot of the bed."
