TENNIS AND MORE TENNIS
Tim Henman's quest for a Grand Slam came up short as he ran out of steam against clay court specialist Guillermo Coria in the French Open semi-final.Henman set British hearts racing when he won the first set convincingly, but he was eventually ground down by his Argentine opponent 3-6 6-4 6-0 7-5.
Despite cutting a dejected figure when he left centre court at Roland Garros, Henman's stunning run on the red clay will give him tremendous heart ahead of Wimbledon and his favoured grass surface.
Ninth seeded Henman threatened a huge upset after clinching the first set and going to a handy 4-2 lead in the second, but Coria found his touch and battled back from the brink.
