Running late on a fire Escape to fly with a giant Eagle

"i was running late to return a library book, but instead of the street, i was walking along the narrow metal railing of a high-rise fire escape. the air was super crisp and cold, and the sky was this bright, glowing orange like right after sunset. then I looked over at the rusty water tower across from me, and perched right on the edge was this gigantic eagle. it was way bigger than a normal bird, almost as tall as a person, with dark brown feathers and this bright golden crest that looked like it was catching fire in the light. i froze, but I wasn't scared at all--my heart was just racing in this crazy, exhilarated way. it turned its head and locked its yellow eyes onto mine, and suddenly I didn't care about the library book or where I was supposed to be going. then without even flapping its wings, it just launched off the tower and dived straight past me, so close I could feel the cold wind from its wings hit my face. next thing I knew, I was flying right alongside it over this endless snow-covered forest, feeling this wild rush in my chest like I had total freedom and could go anywhere in the world.
