The ducks That followed Me home

"I'm walking to the store. And there's a duck behind me. Just one waddling along. And then another. And another. And I turn around and there's like fifteen of them. All in a line. Following me. And I didn't do anything. Just. Kept walking. I got to the crosswalk and stopped. And they stopped. All of them. In a row on the curb. And I crossed and they crossed. Waddling behind me. And a car stopped for us. Just waited, didn't honk. And I waved thanks and kept going. I went into the store and they waited outside. All of them. In a little crowd by the door. And I did my shopping. Milk, bread, whatever. And when I came out they were still there. And they followed me home. Right up to my porch. And then they just sat down. In my yard. And I went inside. I woke up and looked out my window. No ducks. Just my yard. But I sat on the porch that morning with my coffee. Just in case. And I left the gate open. Weird thing to do. But I did it."
