Searching for the love That never Arrives

"I was in a fancy, upscale mall, running from shop to shop, searching for my boyfriend. I didn't know who he was in real life, but in the dream I felt it in every part of me: we had a deep connection, and I was completely in love with him. I scanned every face and every corner, but I couldn't find him. Then the setting changed. I was at a school, looking for a man I know of but have never really talked to. Again, I knew we were in love. My phone buzzed with a text from him, telling me to meet him at a swimming hole. I hurried there, my heart racing, but a different man was waiting. He claimed to be the one I was looking for, but I knew he wasn't. I turned away and kept searching, my panic growing, but I never found him. The places kept changing, and so did the faces, but the feeling never did: I was looking for the love of my life, and I couldn't reach him. Then I woke up. My chest felt heavy, my body was tired, and I was distressed, as if I had been running all night. It took a while for the ache of the missing person to fade."
